Cause:
Dehydration is caused when your body doesn't have enough water. You can become dehydrated if you have a fever or sweat a lot, so its important to drink water on a daily basis.
Symptoms:
mild dehydration:
-dry or sticky mouth
-thirsty
-not urinating very often
-headache
-muscle cramps

-dizzy

-rapid heartbeat and breathing

What to do if you are dehydrated:
1. drink small sips of room temperature water
2. replace the electrolytes you lost
3. see if a doctor if you are severely dehydrated

Preventing dehydration:
1. drink plenty of water daily
2. dress appropriately for the weather (don't wear a parka when its hot)
3. drink water before participating in an athletic event (sports)
4. be aware of yourself, watch to see if you develop any symptoms
5. take breaks and drink water when engaging in any activity
